Recap: WAKO World Championships 2025 Abu Dhabi
The WAKO World Championship in Abu Dhabi was this year the largest and most successful world championship of all time, showcasing top athletic performances and unforgettable moments. The results of the national teams were particularly impressive: the Hungarian team secured a strong eight gold, five silver, and ten bronze medals, while Spain also achieved an excellent record with five gold, five silver, and five bronze medals. Denmark rounded out the field with a bronze medal.
The TEAM CENTURY EUROPE also made an impressive showing. Carvin Burke from the Netherlands, Jack Buckley from the United Kingdom, and Devon Hopper from the USA each secured third place. Alexandra Georgieva from Bulgaria, as well as Tina Baloh from Slovenia and Jodie Browne from Ireland, achieved impressive second places in their weight classes, proving that Century Europe is excellently positioned on the international stage.
For us at Century Martial Arts, the World Championship was also a huge success. Our sales booth was continuously busy, sales went exceptionally well, and we had numerous promising conversations with distributors and federation presidents from around the world.
Additionally, we had the opportunity to showcase our 20/20 Vest as well as our new Freestanding Bag. Many athletes tested the products on-site, and the feedback was consistently positive.
A special personal highlight was the birthday celebration of our senior executive right on-site. The WAKO board even surprised him with a cake of their own – a moment that brought plenty of laughs and great photos.
Overall, this WAKO World Championship was a complete success not only in sports but also in business – an event that will remain memorable for us for a long time.
