Johanna Kneer, born on December 25, 1997, began her journey in karate at a young age. At seven years old, she joined KJC Ravensburg – a club that has accompanied and shaped her to this day. Under the expert guidance of her coaches, Johanna reached milestones that gained attention far beyond the borders of Ravensburg. As early as 2004, she showed on the mat that she was ready to achieve great things, and today she proudly holds the 3rd Dan.

A Star in the National Team

Since 2013, Johanna Kneer has been a member of the German national team – a decade full of successes and memories. In the youth sector, she was already a phenomenon early on. As the 2013 Youth World Champion and multiple medalist at U16 and U18 European Championships, she made her mark internationally.

But Johanna never rested on her laurels. On the contrary: she fought her way to the top of Europe and won the title of European Champion in 2023 and 2024 – not only in individual competition but also in the team competition alongside Mia Bitsch. Her achievements cemented her status as one of the best karateka of her generation.

Johanna Kneer is also unstoppable on the global stage. She triumphed twice in the prestigious Karate Premier League and won gold at the 2023 European Games in Poland. Most recently, she crowned her outstanding form with another victory at the Series A in Salzburg in September 2024.

This impressive success story has catapulted Johanna to 3rd place in the world rankings. This places her among the world’s elite, with excellent prospects to participate in next year's World Games – the "Olympic Games" of karate.
